Abstract

Secondary title: ǂA ǂdamage analyse and the sanation of wounded trees in the health resort park Rimske Toplice
Secondary abstract: This thesis aims to determine the extension of wounded trees and analyse conditions of the park in question on the basis of its past treatments. The aim of the thesis was to use different, simple and modern arboriculture steps of treatment. These steps could change a dangerous park into a much safer environment for all the users. The structure of the park will remain the same despite of the realized steps. All the wounded trees in the park with the diameter measure 15 cm or more have been analysed. The diameter in the breast-height and the height of each tree have been measured. The estimations of all ocular wounds in the tree-crown, the trunk, the base of the tree and the roots above the ground have been made. Altogether 427 wounded trees in thepark are described and analysed. One third of the described trees in the park have serious wounds, half of these trees also have a modest vitality. Past treatments of trees have decreased their vitality. All trees in the park should be treated properly with modern arboricultural steps mentioned in this thesis, particularly those with serious wounds.
