Politika ameriške centralne banke FED v času krize od leta 2007

Abstract

V magistrskem delu je predstavljena ameriška centralna banka FED, njena organizacijska struktura in organi, orodja za izvajanje monetarne politike, vodenje monetarne politike ter njen odziv na finančno krizo od leta 2007 naprej. FED je centralna banka največjega gospodarstva na svetu – ZDA. Njegova organizacijska struktura in proces sprejemanja/izvajanja odločitev sta unikatni. Posledic izvajanja monetarne politike ne čutijo le ZDA, ampak le-te vplivajo na globalno gospodarstvo. Na primeru pretekle finančne krize od leta 2007 do danes je praktično prikazano njeno delovanje, izvajanje monetarne politike in sprejeti ukrepi. Brez tako obširne akcije, kot je bila izvedena, si današnjega finančnega sveta ne moremo predstavljati. Razumevanje njenega delovanja je zaradi globalnega vpliva izredno pomembno za boljšo predstavo o dogajanju na ekonomskem področju.

Secondary abstract:	The master thesis introduces the US central bank FED and discusses its organisational structure and bodies, its monetary policy and the tools for the policy’s implementation, as well as the FED's response to the financial crisis from year 2007 onwards. FED is the central bank of the biggest economy in the world – the USA. Its organisational structure and its processes of making decisions and executing them are unlike any other in the world. The consequences of FED's monetary policy not only affect the USA, but also the global economy. In the thesis, FED's operation and activities, its accepted measures and its monetary policy are represented based on the example of the current financial crisis from year 2007 onwards. Without such a widespread action, which has followed the crisis, the current financial world could not be imagined. Due to FED's global influence, we must understand its operation and function in order to have a better insight into the economic field.
