Abstract

Pričujoče delo obravnava odnos mladih do popularne glasbe in podaja primerjavo med mladimi v Sloveniji in v Bosni in Hercegovini. Namen diplomskega dela je preučiti vpliv ožjega in širšega socialnega okolja na izbor in način poslušanja glasbe, ugotoviti priljubljenost posameznih glasbenih zvrsti, seznanjenost z glasbo in izvajalci obeh držav, izvajalcev iz tujine in ne nazadnje ugotoviti pomen glasbenih elementov (melodija, besedilo, vsebina) pri poslušanju glasbe. V teoretičnem delu so predstavljene značilnosti, razvoj in glasbene zvrsti in pomembnejše glasbene oblike na območju obeh držav. Prav tako je predstavljen vpliv družine, šole in množičnih medijev na mladostnika. Empirični del naloge vsebuje raziskavo, ki je zajela 311 otrok iz Bosne in Hercegovine ter 300 otrok iz Slovenije, od 7. do 9. razreda osnovne šole. Podobnosti med mladimi iz obeh držav se kažejo zlasti v povezavi z glasbo kot pomembnim načinom izražanja mladih, odkrivanja lastne identitete, čustvenega doživljanja in izražanja pripadnosti (vpliv vrstnikov). Izvedena empirična raziskava je potrdila razlike med obravnavanima skupinama mladih pri poslušanju (domače) popularne glasbe ter pokazala različno vloga staršev pri izboru glasbe njihovih otrok. Rezultati so pokazali razlike, vendar ne v večjem obsegu.

Secondary abstract: The present graduation thesis discusses the phenomenon of adolescents' reception of modern popular music and brings adequate comparison between Bosnian and Slovenian pupils. The main goal is to recognize an influence of social surrounding according to adolescents' decisions for listening the particular genres of music, and their most popular ways to listening the music; to find out which music genres are the most popular among the adolescents and how they except the music of popular performers from both of countries and from abroad; and the last but not least to discuss the importance of particular music elements for adolescents (melody, text, content). In theoretical part, characteristics, the development, music genres and more significant music genres from the area of both of countries are represented. The influences of the family, school and mass media are also represented. Empirical part brings research with 311 pupils from Bosnia and Herzegovina and 300 pupils from Slovenia, from 7th to 9th grade of primary school. Analogies between pupils from both countries are mainly deal with music as important manner of their expression, their searching for their own identity, with emotional experience and expression of appurtenance (influence of coevals). An accomplished empirical research confirms differences between Bosnian and Slovenian pupils regarding the listening of (domestic) popular music and shows different roles of parents according the choice of music for listening by their children. The results are shown differences, but not in great measure.
