diplomsko delo
Abstract
Razvrstila sem jih v tri geografske regije (južno, zahodno in centralno). Uporabljala sem uni- in multivariatne analize. Na spodnjih čeljustnicah sem določila 13 naslonskih točk. S pomočjo F-testa (enosmerna analiza variance) sem preverjala starostno variabilnost in sekundarni spolni dimorfizem.

Morphometric variability of the mandible of the Martino Vole, Dinaromys Bogdanovi, (Martino in Martino, 1922) |
Secondary abstract: |
In this thesis I analysed the age and the geographical variability as well as the secondary gender dimorphism of the lower jawbone of the Martino's Snow Vole. My research included 195 subjects from 31 different localities in the areas of the former Yugoslavia. I classified the localities into three geographical regions (southern, western and central). To execute the research I used the uni and multivariate analyses. I began with determining 13 points of reference on the lower jawbone. Using the F-test (one-way analysis of variance) I was able to produced evidence of the age variability and of the secondary dimorphism. The geographical variability on the lower jawbone could be substantiated with the discriminant analysis (DFA). The results of the one-way analysis of variance have shown a deviation in size present in the lower jawbones between young and adult subjects. The results also confirmed the fact that the secondary gender dimorphism isn't distinctive. The geographical variability has been verified both by the one-way analysis of variance and by the discriminant analysis. The results of one-way analyse have shown that the deviation in size of the lower jawbone is statistically characteristic only for specimens of the southern and central geographical region. The results of the discriminant analysis indicate that the shape of the lower jawbones between specimens of Martino's Snow Vole differs only in the southern and western region, whereas deviations in the shape of the lower jawbone between the specimens of the central and southern and central and western region are't actually present. |
