Secondary abstract:	In this thesis I present an outlined concept of regional center for waste management for the area of Savinjsko-šaleška region. Initial part of thesis describes strategic goals of waste management in European Union and Republic of Slovenia, as well as existent condition of waste management in state and description of existent condition of waste management in Savinjsko-šaleška region. In continuation I introduce vision and medium-term plan for waste management in this region. Main part of the thesis contains comparison of data regarding quantities of waste obtained from various sources, commentary of compliance of current manners of management and critical analysis of existent plan of waste management. This part of thesis also contains more detailed description of quantities of individual types of waste and commentary of input data for planning the regional center. In conclusion, I pass my opinion and some propositions for approaching the European guidelines and making one step closer to the recycling society.

Abstract (ePrints):	V diplomski nalogi je predstavljena idejna zasnova regijskega centra za ravnanje z odpadki za področje Savinjsko-šaleške regije. Začetni del naloge opisuje strateške cilje ravnanja z odpadki v EU in Republiki Sloveniji ter obstoječe stanje ravnanja z odpadki v drţavi in opis obstoječega stanja ravnanja z odpadki v Savinjsko-šaleški regiji. V nadaljevanju sem predstavil vizijo in srednjeročni plan ravnanja z odpadki v tej regiji. Glavni del te diplomske naloge pa vsebuje primerjavo podatkov o količinah odpadkov pridobljenih iz različnih virov, komentar ustreznosti sedanjih načinov ravnanja ter kritično analizo obstoječega plana ravnanja z odpadki. Ta del naloge vsebuje tudi podrobnejši opis količin posameznih tipov odpadkov ter komentar vhodnih podatkov za načrtovanje regijskega oziroma področnega centra. V zaključku naloge pa sem podal svoje mnenje ter nekaj predlogov, kako se pribliţati evropskim smernicam in narediti korak bliţje k druţbi recikliranja.
