Secondary title: Belonging and prevention at socialpedagogical work
Secondary abstract: Each individual must satisfy his/her own needs in order to be able to function well. When the needs are satisfied, a person feels well and knows that life is under his/her control. For this reason he/she has the possibility to be successful and to establish him/herself in different groups and social systems. Some needs cannot be satisfied by the individuals themselves. One needs other people in order to satisfy the need to be safe and accepted, to belong and to be approved. In a group, each individual has to learn how to adapt, take others into consideration and manage relations. First experiences are gained in the family. Acquiring social skills is proceeding at school and in other groups. An individual, to whom the society and the important others in his/her life did not enable suitable conditions in which they would have learned the appropriate cohabitation, behaves inappropriately. In my research I want to confirm the thesis that belonging to the family is very important for a young person due to its influence on this young person's development and at the same time it influences positively on how the individual will be included and accepted at school and in other groups of children of the same age. Both interviews have confirmed the facts that firstly, the relation with the important others influences a great deal to belonging and secondly, the important others influence a lot on the child's personal development and self-esteem. Having a positive attitude towards an individual, he/she is prepared to listen, to accept, to cooperate and to decide for a change. I am finishing the paper with the case of a preventive extracurricular activity since preventive work is much easier in that way. One learns how be a part of the group, how to be active in a group, how to maintain relations with the others and one also connects with the community. Like this, an individual gains new experiences, which help with the satisfaction of the need for belonging and therefore to a happier life.

Nekatere potrebe posameznik ne more zadostiti sam.
