Secondary title: Punching shear of flat slabs
Secondary abstract: The present work deals with punching shear of flat slabs. I have researched the background of computer program called Schöck BOLE®, which is planed for designing additional shear reinforcement (studs) because of punching flat slabs. The equations that the computer uses are based on previous standard prEN 1992-1-1. Since the standard EN 1992-1-1 shortly come out, I have compared the equations that are written in the program with those used in the EN 1992- 1-1. Thus, I have found out no special differences (with some exceptions). Because of the fact that the program and the standard EN 1992-1-1 both take into account tension steel reinforcement in the punching shear calculation of the slab, I had to find a suitable method to define bending moments in the flat slab. This can be done with a suitable computer program, using finite element analysis, or by choosing the equivalent frame analysis. The latter is explained only by the standard EN 1992-1-1 and not by the prEN 1992-1-1. At the end I dedicated my time to a practical example of punching shear reinforcement close by the column of flat slab. I have calculated negative bending moments with the help of equivalent frame analysis. According to this I have adjusted the right cross section of tension steel reinforcement over the selected column. I have then inserted the data of tension reinforcement with the other data in the program Schöck BOLE® and achieved the right punching shear reinforcement.
