Secondary abstract: This diploma paper explores learning about and expressing feelings by means of a puppet in a group of three and four year old children. The theoretical part is about the theory of emotions and their characteristics, it describes four basic emotions: fear, anger, sadness and joy, and the characteristics of children's emotions. It includes reflections on the puppet and the types of puppets. It focuses on the communication with the puppet, verbal as well as non-verbal expression. The paper represents the importance of the puppet in the hands of educators to overcome fears and develop children's self-image. The greatest importance to overcome child’s internal blockages was given to a symbolic game in which children develop their imagination, creativity and communication skills. With the help of fairy tales, stories, performances, talks, dance, mime, artistic creativity and playing with dolls, we learned about and expressed emotions. The aim of the study of children the world of puppets and their magical powers to communicate with the environment and the demolition of internal blockages.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomska naloga raziskuje spoznavanje in izražanje čustev s pomočjo lutke v skupini tri do štiri leta starih otrok. Teoretični del govori o teoriji čustev in njihovih značilnostih, opisuje štiri osnovna čustva: strah, jezo, žalost in veselje, ter značilnosti otrokovih čustev. Vključuje razmišljanja o lutki in vrstah lutk. Osredotoča se na komunikacijo z lutko, tako besedno kot nebesedno. Naloga predstavlja, kako pomembna je lutka v rokah vzgojitelja pri premagovanju strahov in pri razvoju otrokove samopodobe. Največji pomen pri premagovanju otrokovih notranjih blokad smo namenili simbolni igri, v kateri otrok razvija svojo domišljijo, ustvarjalnost in komunikacijske sposobnosti. S pomočjo pravljic, zgodb, predstav, pogovorov, plesa, mimike, likovne ustvarjalnosti in igre z lutkami smo spoznavali in izražali čustva. Namen naloge je otrokom približati svet lutk in njihovo magično moč pri komunikaciji z okoljem ter rušenju notranjih blokad.
