Secondary abstract:	In my diploma paper I discuss poster as a visual communication means. In introduction, I define the concepts of visual communications and graphic design, and the history of their development. Furthermore, I define poster and its historical development until the second half of the 20th century in Europe and America, and I also include a review of its development in Slovenia. I present a poster as a modern communication means, typography and colours being two of its visually important elements. In the preparation for print I describe the differences between vector and bitmap graphics, and I define print resolution, interpolation and characteristics. In conclusion, I define a concert poster and as examples I present some of the Slovene and foreign concert posters. In the practical part, I include a series of six concert posters which have been made based on The Concert: Music Feast. The pedagogical part includes the lesson plan and analysis of the lesson and art works of 7th grade primary students.
