On the basis of expert literature the following B.A. thesis presents various aspects of the relation between the musical and visual language.
In the theoretical part I discussed colours and sound, as well as how they influence our sensory perception. I analysed light values, presented music as an inspiration for creativity in the field of fine arts, explored the relations between these two fields of expression, looked at synesthesia and, as a curiosity, described the bouba/kiki effect.
I was interested in the parallels found in creativity, the development of musical notation, and the contemporary approaches to musical notation. I also touched upon the phenomenon of the human voice and singing voices. I underlined the strong significance of the sound image, the importance of television sound, dubbing, and, last but not least, focused on an example of Slovenian video art.
In the empirical part I presented my own artwork in the field of graphic design, related to the analogies of the musical and visual language. I presented three examples of music CD design, an animation, and a music video.
In the pedagogical part I presented the works created at a fine arts workshop, related to the connection between sound and image. We explored the aspects of how associations between music and images are formed, our perception, and the creation of artwork with music as a source of inspiration. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
V diplomskem delu sem s pomočjo strokovne literature predstavila različne aspekte povezanosti glasbenega in likovnega jezika.
V teoretičnem delu sem se dotaknila barve in zvoka ter njunega vpliva na naše čutno zaznavanje, obravnavala sem svetlostne vrednosti, predstavila glasbo kot vir likovnega ustvarjanja, kamor sem uvrstila odnos teh dveh jezikov, sinestezije in kot zanimivost buba/kiki efekt.
Zanimale so me vzporednice v ustvarjanju, razvoj notnega zapisa in sodobni pristopi k obravnavi notacij.
