Slovenian version of Bilingual aphasia test: norms for 50-60 years old speakers |
Secondary abstract: |
The main aim of the research is to obtain norms for Bilingual aphasia test (BAT) – Slovenian version. The theoretical part includes facts about neurology in relation with language and speech, theories about aphasia, classifications of different types of aphasia, further about aphasia in bilingual speakers. The main focus is the Bilingual aphasia test itself and its usefulness in the Slovenian version. 20 monolingual Slovenian speakers, 10 women and 10 men, aged from 50 to 60 years, were tested. Kolmogorov – Smirnov test has shown us the distribution of the variables: a great part of them are right skewed and some of them normal distributed. Results of Chi-square test have revealed no statistically significant differences in scoring on each variable of BAT taking into account the gender and the level of education. In conclusion, we can say that Slovenian version of BAT is translated and adapted appropriately. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
