Hundertwasser and modernism |
Secondary abstract: |
The theoretical part of this diploma thesis succinctly describes the turn of the 19th to 20th century, and with it the genesis of modernism, or, more precisely, art nuoveau. It then provides an overview of the development of this movement across Europe and the world, focusing in greater detail on its main representatives. The theoretical part also looks at the main features and characteristics of “New Art”.
The main part examines the influence of art nuoveau style on later artists. More specifically, it strives to give an extensive account of the life and work of Hundertwasser.
The practical part is twofold: it provides a description of the author’s own work and the link between the artistic endeavor while studying art pedagogy and Hundertwasser’s poetics of composition, use of patterns, color schemes and the freedom of shapes featured in painting and architecture.
The work conducted with children at primary school 8 talcev in Logatec comprises the educational part. Here, the results of art workshops and individual lessons are presented. Also included are a detailed lesson plan for the seventh grade of primary school, an analysis of the students’ work and a lesson plan for secondary school. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
Praktični del vsebuje opis avtorskega dela in povezavo študijskega ustvarjanja s poetiko Hundertwasserjeve kompozicije, z uporabo vzorcev, barvnih shem in s svobodo njegovih oblik v slikarstvu in arhitekturi.
V tem delu so predstavljeni rezultati likovnih delavnic in posameznih učnih ur. |
