Secondary abstract:	Homelessness is a relatively new phenomenon in our social environment. Some people encounter it daily, establishing their view of it on the basis of experience, existing information and conversations with others. The predominant public opinion dictates the attitude of the society towards a certain phenomenon, including the measures taken in the political and, indirectly, the professional sphere. The focus of interest in my diploma have been the views and perceptions of homelessness among the users of the internet forums, with the aim to discover in which way, prompted by which topics and through what kind of discourses this group conceived and discussed homelessness. The teoretical introduction presents some concepts associated with homelessness, homelessness (its definition and forms in which it manifests itself, its causes, some predominant characteristics of the homeless, the especially endangered groups, and the status quo as regards homelessness in our country) as well as ways in which people form their image of the world, the conception of homelessness included. The empirical part of the diploma analyses 321 internet entries discussing homelessness. The analysis of the entries significantly illustrates the conception of homelessness, based on stereotyped images, opening up opportunities for new measures aiming at sensibilizing, informing and raising awareness of the public.

Abstract (ePrints):	Brezdomstvo je v našem prostoru relativno nov pojav. Nekateri ljudje se z njim vsakodnevno srečujejo in si na podlagi izkušenj, obstoječih informacij ter pogovora z drugimi oblikujejo svoje stališče. Prevladujoče mnenje v javnosti pa narekuje odnos družbe do določenega pojava, vključno z ukrepi na političnem in posredno strokovnem področju. V diplomski nalogi so me zanimali pogledi in dojemanja brezdomstva uporabnikov spletnih forumov, pri čemer sem želela spoznati, kako, preko katerih tem in skozi katere diskurze ta skupina razume in govori o brezdomstvu. V teoretičnem uvodu predstavljam nekatere z brezdomstvom povezane koncepte, brezdomstvo (definicijo in njegove pojavne oblike, vzroke zanj, nekaj prevladujočih značilnosti brezdomcev, posebej ogrožene skupine in stanje na področju brezdomstva pri nas), ter načine, kako ljudje oblikujemo svojo sliko sveta, vključno z dojemanjem brezdomstva. V empiričnem delu naloge pa se ukvarjam z analizo 321 objav na spletnih forumih, ki govorijo o brezdomstvu. Analizirane objave predstavljajo pomembno ilustracijo razumevanja brezdomstva, ki temelji na stereotipnih predstavah ter odpirajo prostor različnih priložnosti za nove ukrepe na področju senzibilizacije, informiranja in osveščanja javnosti.
