Secondary abstract: In our presented work we have developed internet GIS application. With its help the user can get data on the amount of electric energy derived from the solar modules, which he would install on his roof. GIS application was made for area of municipality Celje. First we have summarized the basis of GIS technology, making of GIS and connecting GIS with internet. In our work we have described physiological phenomenon of solar energy and the effect of atmosphere on the power of solar energy. We have also written about photovoltaic, the science that studies conversion of energy of photons into electricity. We have described the development and operation of internet GIS application for illustration of urban municipality outfit.
