Secondary abstract: In the diploma work results of a two-dimensional mathematical modelling of the East Ložnica River in Začret near the town of Celje are presented. Two-dimensional calculations were performed with the software tool PCFLOW2D, developed at the Chair of Fluid Mechanics of the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering of the University of Ljubljana. The aim of the work was an assessment amd comparison of flood safety for two different flood events n the present and designed situation which includes the regulation of the East Ložnica River and construction of two reservoirs on the East Ložnica River – Začret and Ljubečna. Numerical computations for the designed situation were made for a flood wave caused by a 4-hours rain with 100 years peak discharges and for combination of the flood wave and a dam break wave, which could occur after the dam break of the dam »Za Travnikom«. We wanted to verify the capacity of the reservoir »Začret« in the case if partial dam break of the dam »Za Travnikom« occurs at the moment when the maximum natural flood with 100 years peak discharge is already present. Computed discharges and water surface elevations were compared with the results for the present situation.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi so podani rezultati simulacij dvodimenzijskega matematičnega modeliranja toka Vzhodne Ložnice v Začretu pri Celju. Dvodimenzijski izračuni so bili izvedeni s programskim orodjem PCFLOW2D, razvitim na Katedri za mehaniko tekočin Fakultete za gradbeništvo in geodezijo Univerze v Ljubljani. Cilj diplomske naloge je bila ocena in primerjava poplavne varnosti ob nastopu dveh različnih poplavnih dogodkov tako v sedanjem stanju kot v projektiranem stanju, ki predvideva regulacijo V. Ložnice in izgradnjo dveh suhih zadrževalnikov na V. Ložnici - Začret in Ljubečna. V računskih primerih za projektirano stanje smo obravnavali pojav stoletnih poplavnih pretokov ob štiriurnem nalivu ter kombinacijo poplavnega in porušitvenega vala, ki bi nastopil ob morebitni delni porušitvi pregrade deponije Za Travnikom. Za projektirano stanje smo želeli preveriti zadostnost kapacitete zadrževalnika Začret v primeru delne porušitve pregrade Za Travnikom v času nastopa maksimalnih stoletnih poplavnih voda. Izračunane pretoke in gladine vode smo primerjali z rezultati za sedanje stanje.
