Secondary title: Technological and organizational aspects of steel fiber reinforced concrete construction
Secondary abstract: The present work is divided in an introduction, five substantive chapters and conclusions. The first substantive chapter represents development of the usage of separate sorts of fibers, suitable to reinforce the concrete structure. The rest of the chapter concentrates on the detailed presentation of steel fiber reinforced concrete. So in the second substantive chapter steel fibers that are used for reinforcing the concrete structure are defined, together with the production procedures, their physical and mechanical properties and aspects of usages. The work also deals with the influence of steel fibers added to concrete regarding the ready- mixed concrete as well as some more important mechanical features of solid concrete. The following chapter presents the technological procedures of steel fiber reinforced concrete constructing including design, mixing procedures, implanting, processing, care and protection. The chapter is substantively subdivided according to different types of concrete which more often integrate steel fibers such as vibrated, shotcrete, self- compacting and slurry- infiltrated types of concrete. Substantive chapter four concentrates on fiber reinforced concrete and its most common usage in Slovenia. The last substantive chapter brings a comparative study of three different versions of industrial floors based on steel fiber reinforced concrete and version based on classical reinforced concrete. The cost, practical completion as well as the quality were being compared in the study. Its results showed general justification of fiber reinforced concrete usage on the assumption of professional work performance. Conclusions are presented at the end.
