Secondary title: Historical development of children's organized vacationing
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents the historical development of children's organized vacationing, focusing on vacationing of children from the Primorska region which had a special status between the two world wars. Nevertheless, the beginnings of organized vacationing were basically the same in other areas. The first children to have been chosen got accepted in the programme on the basis of their health conditions, only later the concept of organized vacationing developed into the form known today. The thesis shows an opposition between organized vacationing in the past (how candidates were selected, how they travelled, whether there were members of staff attending them and the activities they did). There is a special mention of the importance of the pioneer organization and vacationing during the time of Fascism. The aim of the thesis is presenting the effect vacationing had on children and their parents, as well as the inhabitants of the places hosting the children.

Abstract (ePrints): Diploma obsega delni zgodovinski razvoj organiziranega letovanja otrok.
