Secondary title: Action painting and children drawing
Secondary abstract: The purpose of my thesis is to understand the creative process of action painting in children’s drawings. Theoretical part investigates the development of abstract expressionism. It describes “Dripping art’’ of Jackson Pollock, one of the leading representatives of action painting. I explored the recent upgrades of Pollock’s performative by younger artists. At the same time I explored the developmental stages of children's artistic expressions. In the second part I’m presenting my works. In my creative process I wish to combine power of coincidences and controlled movements. My works of art arise from an excess of emotional and dynamic gestures. In my pedagogic research, I’m analyzing a creative process and art works of children. By comparing three groups of different ages I am confirming that the spontaneous artistic creativity is decreasing with age. With age a child gains a growing number of experiences of the external environment. That affects the child’s creativity, which are more thoughtful and complex.

Sledi opis lastnih del, s katerimi želim združiti moč naključij in nadzorovanih gibov pri svojem ustvarjalnem procesu, kjer moja dela nastajajo s presežkom emotivne in dinamične geste.
