Secondary abstract: The degree thesis deals with the construction of the upper storage rezervoir of the Pumped Storage Power Plant Avce. Moreover, additional emphasis is given on placing of the watertight washer by applying the asphalt lining. The Pumped Storage Power Plant Avce is the first pumping storage power plant in Slovenia and it is at the same time also one of the largest constructions built in Slovenia in the last years. What is more, its exceptionality is attributed to the way it uses the electrical energy, the interdisciplinary demands and task complexity needed when constructing it, its size, the greater holding power the lake in question is able to provide, and last but not least, the introduction of new technologies designed for its construction. Furthermore, all stages related to the construction of the asphalt lining are herewith also shown, from the application of the methods in planning organization of the construction site, the use of technology, the standards taken into consideration, the alternative water-tight washer for the accumulation lake by applying the EPDM foil, the time schedule, the materials chosen and the logistics performance, the introduction of new technologies, the quality control and the procedure of the first filling.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomska naloga obravnava izgradnjo zgornjega akumulacijskega jezera črpalne hidroelektrarne Avče, s poudarkom na izvedbi tesnjenja akumulacijskega jezera z asfaltno oblogo. Črpalna hidroelektrarna Avče je prva črpalna elektrarna v Sloveniji in je eden največjih objektov, ki se je gradil v Sloveniji v zadnjih letih. Specifična je zaradi načina koriščenja električne energije, interdisciplinarne zahtevnosti izvedbe projekta, velikosti in kapacitete zgornjega akumulacijskega jezera ter uvedbe novih tehnologij pri gradnji jezera. V diplomski nalogi so opisane vse faze izvedbe asfaltne obloge, in sicer: organizacija gradbišča, tehnologija izvedbe, upoštevani standardi, tesnjenje akumulacijskega jezera z EPDM folijo, terminski plan, uporabljeni materiali in logistika, uvedba novih tehnologij, kontrola kakovosti in postopek prvega polnjenja.
