Secondary title: Egoism as leading motivation for voluntary work in foreign country
Secondary abstract: International voluntary work is reserved only for the biggest altruists, whose only priority is satisfying needs of marginalized, poor, hurt, pushed aside people. After the fact of being international volunteer, and the fact that I honestly admit that I am egoist, I want to light the term egoism and break all known negative opinions of the people about it. In theoretic part I was writing about motivation and with it connected behaviour, to which I added empathy and helpful behaviour, which is typical for people, who are doing voluntary work not only abroad, but also in Slovenia. I introduced egoism and different types of it. In empiric part are introduced results of qualitative analyze, which showed typical characteristics of international volunteers, reasons and positive aspects, consequences of doing international voluntary work, definition of egoism and the relation to it, and definition of reasons between terms egoism and altruism. It was also shown correlation between education and helpful behaviour and the influence of society in connection with helpful behaviour.
