The choice of a education programme of special education primary school pupils |
Secondary abstract: |
This diploma paper concentrates on the educational system in Slovenia. It depicts the characteristics of various education programmes that include individuals. The most attention is paid to the pupils of special education primary schools. As any young person, special education primary school pupils are also met with challenges of making the right career choice. The diploma paper presents the options that pupils with special needs have. Furthermore, the activities of career orientation which primary schools and counsellors use when forming profession interests or helping their pupils with making career choices are also presented. Vocational education is an ever changing concept depending on both economic and social needs, and characteristics of the society, hence a big part of the theoretical part of this diploma paper is dedicated to changes, and features of vocational and professional education in Slovenia.
In the empiric part of the diploma paper the results of a research including 9th grade pupils of a special education primary school, and students of lower vocational schools are presented. My interest was the number of programmes there is at their disposal, what are their choices, and the reasons they decide for a certain programme. The profession they study for is often not the one they want. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
Predstavila sem, kakšne in koliko možnosti imajo mladostniki.
V drugem, empiričnem, delu diplomske naloge sem predstavila rezultate raziskave, v katero so bili vključeni devetošolci osnovne šole s prilagojenim programom in dijaki nižjih poklicnih šol. |
