The diploma thesis focus on recycling asphalt thru hot process in the asphalt plant. In the second chapter there
are represented the most common road pavement distresses. It is only when distresses start to degrade the level
of service for the road when road recycling starts to becomes an option. In the third chapter are described all the
most common recycling methods in the asphalt industry. There are brief description about hot in place and cold
in place recycling methods and there is also something about cold in plant recycling. The forth chapter is entirely
focused on making the best asphalt mix by choosing the right amount of bitumen and the right amount of
aggregate. Slovenian law states, that when we are planning on building a road in the project there must be stated
where the waste materials are going to be deposited. The next chapter is all about recycling asphalt thru hot
process in the asphalt mixing plant. Batch mixing plants are the only ones present in Slovenia but in this paper
are describe the continuous also. The whole process of making and mixing the aggregate and bitumen are fully
described. In this paper there is also a chapter about emission caused by asphalt mixing plants and the danger
that this emissions have on people. |
