Secondary abstract:	In my diploma thesis I have described the fundamental framework and finalization of completing three historical thematic maps of the Battle at Holmec. The objective of my composition has been one that folllows the grounds of the publications of maps in Vladimir Prebalič's and Damijan Guštin's book The Battle at Holmec. They served as a graphical depiction of the series of events that took place on the border at Holmec. The diploma is divided into two parts. The first contains a detailed description of the historical thematic cartography, the theoretical concepts and the contents of the historical maps. The second part in contrast consists of the description of the cartographical programme OCAD also used in the research as well as the description of the specific making of all three maps.
