Secondary title: ǂThe ǂinfluence of highwaz construction on commuting workers in Slovenia in 2000 - 2008
Secondary abstract: In this graduation thesis, we analyse the influence of highway construction on inter-municipal commuting of workers in Slovenia in 2000-2008. Data on commuters workers were collected from Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, data on time accessibility were calculated using network analyses in geographic information system (GIS). For this purpose, we used ArcGIS and ArcCatalog and created network models for each year in 2000-2008 period. Network models consisted from newly constructed highway sections, national road network and municipality centres. Construction of network model in GIS is presented in detail in this thesis. Correlation analysis between time accessibility and flows of commuters between municipalities in Slovenia were performed in Excel. We analyzed statistical correlation for all data together and for user-defined groups according to time distance to the place of work. Correlation analysis between time distances to the place of work and inter-municipal flows of commuters in Slovenia confirmed relatively strong negative statistical correlation between analysed variables for the bottom 75 percentage of the time distances. Regression analysis between travel time and the number of commuters showed that logarithmic regression model fits the best for the analysed data.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi ugotavljamo vpliv izgradnje avtocest v obdobju 2000-2008 na mobilnost delavcev vozačev v Republiki Sloveniji. V diplomski nalogi smo podrobno predstavili postopek izdelave mrežnega modela.
