Secondary title: Analysis of reinforced concrete building according to the EC 8
Secondary abstract: In the Thesis the analysis and the software based design of the six-storey reinforced concrete wall building according to the European Standard Eurocode is presented. The structural system of the building consists of reinforced concrete walls. First the calculation of the self weight, variable actions, snow and the wind loads has been examined. The major part of the thesis deals with seismic analysis, which was performed by the modal analysis and simplified non-linear seismic analysis. The structure was designed for the medium ductility class since the overstrength due to minimum requirements of reinforcements is high for the examined building. The presented analysis results are the periods and mode shapes, storey shears, the quantity of reinforcement in certain section and target displacement in the non-linear seismic analysis. Using the computer program ETABS, two structural models were constructed using only beam/column or shell elements. It is shown that result of analysis for both models are comparable. In addition it was shown that structural elements reinforced with minimum reinforcement defined in Eurocode 8 may resists to the design seismic action, if the structure has a great proportion of walls regarding to ground plan. We verified this claim also with computer program ETABS, which was used for automatic designed the elements of the structure.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomskem delu je predstavljena analiza in računalniško projektiranje šest etažne stenaste armiranobetonske konstrukcije po veljavnih evropskih standardih. Nosilno konstrukcijo objekta sestavljajo armiranobetonske stene. Konstrukcijo smo modelirali z linijskimi in ploskovnimi elementi in sicer v programu ETABS. Rezultati so primerljivi.
