Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis deals with a curve cardioid. There are basic descriptions of it and in connection also made calculations of surface area, arc length, object's surface area and volume, which we get with rotating cardioid around it's own axis. The purpose of this diploma thesis is to thoroughly study mentioned curve. For this purpose there are being presented different formations of cardioid and also connections with other curves. In conclusion we look at cardioid in connection with other science and suggestions for school presentation.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomsko delo obravnava krivuljo kardioido. Opisane so osnovne lastnosti le-te in v povezavi z njo narejeni tudi izračuni ploščine, dolžine loka ter površine in prostornine telesa, ki ga dobimo z vrtežem kardioide. Namen diplomskega dela je temeljito preučiti omenjeno krivuljo. V ta namen so predstavljeni tudi različni nastanki kardioide in hkrati tudi povezave z drugimi krivuljami. Na koncu se dotaknemo še povezave kardioide z drugimi vedami in predlogov za predstavitev krivulje v šoli.
