Healthy lifestyle of kindergarten teachers |
Secondary abstract: |
This thesis describes concepts of health and healthy lifestyle. The latter is explored further as are two factors of healthy lifestyle which are included in everyday life in kindergarten – healthy nutrition and regular physical activity. Notions of preschool ages and the profession of kindergarten teacher are also explored as they are specific in that healthy lifestyle of teachers is reflected in the attitude towards working with children. Healthy nutrition and regular physical activity is introduced in relation to the profession of kindergarten teachers and their role in this area. Satisfaction with life of kindergarten teachers is also described as an important component of subjective well-being.
Research part is comprised of results of a survey of 83 kindergarten teachers in of kindergarten Kekec Grosuplje. With it I demonstrate the status of kindergarten teachers with regard to nutrition, physical activity and satisfaction with life. This research should add to understanding of lifestyle of kindergarten teachers in general as I could not find any research like it. I have concluded that all kindergarten teachers are physically active and that most are active occasionally, unorganized, alone or in company. The driving motives behind the activity are improvement of health and well-being as well as better form. Seventy percent of kindergarten teachers have a healthy diet. They consume less fruit and vegetables as most Slovenians. Kindergarten teachers which have been employed 6 to 15 years, are least satisfaction with their lives, followed by those employed up to 5 years. Kindergarten teachers employed for more than 16 years, are the most satisfaction with their life. |

V diplomski nalogi sta opisana pojma zdravje in zdrav življenjski slog. Še podrobneje je raziskan zdrav način življenja in tista dva dejavnika zdravega načina življenja, ki sta vključena tudi v vsakdan življenja v vrtcu – zdrava prehrana in redna telesna aktivnost. Ob tem se dotikam predšolskega obdobja in poklica vzgojitelja, saj je specifika tega poklica prav v tem, da se način življenja vzgojitelja kaže tudi v odnosu do dela z otroki. Zdravo prehranjevanje in redno telesno aktivnost predstavljam v povezavi s poklicem vzgojitelja v vrtcu ter njihovo vlogo na tem področju. Pišem tudi o zadovoljstvu z življenjem vzgojiteljev kot pomembni komponenti subjektivnega blagra.
V raziskovalnem delu predstavljam rezultate raziskave, ki je zajela 83 vzgojiteljic iz vrtca Kekec Grosuplje. Z njo prikazujem, kakšen je status vzgojiteljic na področju prehrane, telesne aktivnosti in zadovoljstva z življenjem. Ker take raziskave, ki bi zajemale vse tri podatke, pri nas še nisem zasledila, bo pripomogla tudi k spoznavanju načina življenja vzgojiteljev nasploh. Ugotovila sem, da so vse vzgojiteljice telesno aktivne in da se jih večina občasno, same ali v družbi neorganizirano ukvarja s telesno aktivnostjo. Motiv, ki jih pri tem vodi, je izboljšanje zdravja in počutja ter boljša telesna kondicija. 70 % vzgojiteljic se zdravo prehranjuje. Sadje in zelenjavo vsak dan uživa manj vzgojiteljic kot večina Slovencev. Najnižje so življenjsko zadovoljstvo ocenile vzgojiteljice, ki so zaposlene od 6 do 15 let, sledijo jim vzgojiteljice, ki so zaposlene do 5 let. Najvišje zadovoljstvo z življenjem so ocenile vzgojiteljice, katerih delovna doba je nad 16 let. |
