Information and communication technology in blended learning |
Secondary abstract: |
We usually define learning very narrowly, namely as sitting in the school bench with a book in our hands. Yet more and more we are facing information and communication technology in our educational system. We can say that the usage of computers, various computer applications, the internet and related computer literacy has become a part of our everyday lives.
All this has had an impact on the development of new, more advanced methods of learning which involve above mentioned information technology. Among them is also blended learning. Blended learning is the concept of teaching and learning where we merge and blend different learning styles and use wide variety of teaching aids – virtual and real. Blended learning gives priority to different learning styles. On one hand, we include different tasks and activities in our teaching. On the other hand, learning process consists of computer technology, e-learning materials and the interaction between the tutor and the participants or among the participants.
In first chapter of this thesis we present blended learning itself and learning methods in relation to e-learning and distance learning. In addition, we focus on the hardware and software which is required during teaching and learning when we use the method of blended learning. We also present a way of preparing lessons, considering a blended learning method, the role of the teacher and models where we can see the division of blended learning and software suitable for the implementation of blended learning. Finally, we highlight the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning as well as some existing projects designed by the rules of blended learning. |

Abstract (ePrints): |
V začetnem poglavju diplomske naloge bomo najprej predstavili kombinirano učenje in omenjeno metodo učenja v primerjavi z e-učenjem in izobraževanjem na daljavo. |
