Secondary abstract: |
The thesis presents the municipality of Vrhnika and water jet saws in Vrhnika. The theoretical part begins with a short geographical presentation of the municipality, its historical evolution and a description of natural and cultural sights, and continues with a detailed description of water jet saws. The wooded slopes of the outskirts of Vrhnika have always represented favorable conditions for the development of the saw craft, whereas the abundant water resources enabled the development of water-powered sawing. The didactic part presents my fieldwork and my work in the classroom, which I carried out with pupils of the 5th grade. I carried out five school lessons, two of which were fieldwork, where we got to know three water jet saws. The research part presents my findings about water jet saws in Vrhnika, which I collected with the help of fieldwork and visits to water jet saw owners or their offspring. |

Diplomsko delo predstavlja občino Vrhnika in vodne žage na Vrhniki. Na začetku teoretičnega dela je kratka geografska predstavitev občine, njen zgodovinski razvoj ter opis naravnih in kulturnih znamenitosti. V nadaljevanju teoretičnega dela so podrobno predstavljene vodne žage. Gozdnata zaledna pobočja Vrhnike so od nekdaj predstavljala ugodne pogoje za razvoj žagarske obrti. Izdatni vodni viri pa so omogočali razvoj žagarstva na vodni pogon. V didaktičnem delu je predstavljeno terensko delo in delo v učilnici, ki sem ga izvedla z učenci 5. razreda. Izvedla sem pet šolskih ur, od tega dve šolski uri na terenu, kjer smo z učenci spoznali tri vodne žage. Raziskovalni del predstavlja moje ugotovitve o vodnih žagah na Vrhniki, ki sem jih zbrala s pomočjo terenskega dela in obiskov pri lastnikih oz. potomcih žag. |
