Secondary title: Coping with infertility
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis is about coping with infertility. Fertility is still a desired value. When a couple is coping with infertility, it is confronted with different social expectations and strains. It also brings social stigma. During the process of coping with infertility partners go through different phases among which they are confronted with losses and stress. Infertility has an affect on the individual, the partnership, and also on the couple's everyday life activity. In the empirical part I examined the theoretical findings with a couple, who was coping with infertility a few years ago. I used qualitative research method and made interviews separately with each partner. Analysis showed the differences in experiencing infertility among partners. Infertility had positive affect on relationship between partners, the biggest changes in relationship were in the area of sexuality. They coped in various ways with stress and losses. In everyday life they recognized the biggest changes in their social networks and they also felt a few social strains.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomsko delo govori o soočanju para z neplodnostjo.
