Counsellors about the role of the family in child's aggressive behaviour |

Family is the very first environment surrounding an individual and enabling him/her to have an optimal development. This thesis deals with the problems related to attributing aggressive behaviour in children to family role by counsellors. The thesis discusses the counsellors' views on the family role in the process of developing aggressive behaviour, its maintenance and confrontation with it. The theoretical part of this study presents some authors' starting-point on aggressive behaviour in children, dynamics in family relationship (between parents and a child, between two parents) and its structure being a potential risk factor. Part of the theoretical study also deals with guidelines for family assistance. With the use of partially structured interview as a part of qualitative methodology, I have researched views of some counsellors who provide assistance to children with aggressive behaviour and their families. The findings presented in the empirical part show that the counsellors who participated in this research believe that a family represents a significant risk factor in the development and maintenance of the aggressive behaviour in children. Yet family is not the only risk factor leading to aggression in children. Counsellors point out the importance of interaction of several factors in a specific situation. Due to the significant importance attributed to the family role in the development and maintenance of aggressive behaviour in children, the counsellors believe that the participation of all family members in facing child's behaviour is key factor which contributes to a more effective assistance. |

Družina je za posameznika prvo okolje, ki ga obdaja in mu omogoča ali onemogoča optimalen razvoj. Diplomsko delo odpira problematiko pripisovanja vloge družine pri agresivnem vedenju otroka s strani svetovalnih delavcev. Gre za njihov pogled na vlogo družine v procesu razvoja agresivnega vedenja, njegovem vzdrževanju in soočanju z njim. V teoretičnem delu tako predstavim izhodišča nekaterih avtorjev o otrokovem agresivnem vedenju, družinski dinamiki odnosov (med staršem in otrokom, med staršema) in njeni strukturi kot dejavnika tveganja. Del teoretičnega izhodišča namenjam tudi smernicam nudenja pomoči celotni družini. S pomočjo delno strukturiranega intervjuja v okviru kvalitativne raziskave raziščem pogled nekaterih svetovalnih delavcev, ki se v praksi srečujejo z nudenjem pomoči agresivno odzivajočem otroku in njegovi družini. Izsledki, ki so predstavljeni v empiričnem delu, pokažejo, da v raziskavo zajeti svetovalni delavci gledajo ne družino kot na zelo pomemben dejavnik tveganja v razvoju in vzdrževanju otrokovega agresivnega vedenja. Družine ne vidijo kot edinega dejavnika tveganja v oblikovanju agresivnega vedenja, temveč opozarjajo na interakcijo različnih vplivov v konkretni situaciji. Ob pripisovanju velikega pomena družini v razvoju in vzdrževanju agresivnega vedenja, v empirični del zajeti svetovalni delavci gledajo na sodelovanje vseh družinskih članov v soočanju z otrokovim vedenjem kot na ključen dejavnik, ki pripomore k večji učinkovitosti nudene pomoči. |
