Secondary abstract:	Thesis entitled ˝Analysis of book collections Great picture book for preschoolers˝ is based on theoretical approach and empirical study. In the theoretical part I focused on the development of youth literature and the definition of the latter, furthermore I described Great picture book and definition of picture book, I presented four versions of picture books in the Slovenian area, described types of picture books and wrote translation of Maria Nikolaeva´s picture book and her point of view. In the empirical part I described different classifications and graphical illustrations of Great picture book, which was first published at Mladinska knjiga in 1967 and it is still published today. In the thesis I presented picture books which emerged between 1967 and 2012.

Abstract (ePrints):	Diplomsko delo z naslovom Analiza knjižne zbirke Velika slikanica za predšolske otroke sestavljata teoretični in empirični del. V teoretičnem delu sem se posvetila razvoju mladinske književnosti ter opredelitvi pojma le-te, opisala sem zbirko Velika slikanica in definicijo slikanice, predstavila sem štiri različice slikanice v slovenskem prostoru, opisala vrste slikanic in napisala prevod dela Marije Nikolajeve in njenega pogleda na slikanico. V empiričnem delu pa sem se lotila različnih klasifikacij in grafičnih ponazoritev knjižne zbirke Velika slikanica, ki je pri Mladinski knjigi začela izhajati že leta 1967 in izhaja še danes. V diplomski nalogo so zajete slikanice, ki so izšle v letih od 1967 do 2012.
