Secondary abstract:	In this diploma paper I defined the concept of fairy tales and presented in detail folk tales, classic and modern fairy tales. I also presented reading development, the importance of reading and the influence of good fairy tales on children. The aim of this diploma paper has been to present the life and work of Anja Štefan. I have focused on prose and storytelling. The latter has been particularly revived in the last years, mainly because of her storytelling festival she has been organising since 1997, during the past few years also in cooperation with two other people. I wrote a literary review of her work and presented her literary achievements and awards. I analysed a few selected prose writings that were published after 2002. One of her fairy tales was discussed with pupils in fourth grade during a Slovene course and with second grade pupils during after-school classes. I presented the author and her work to pupils, as well as focused on how the texts would be received by them.

Abstract (ePrints):	V diplomskem delu sem opredelila pravljice ter natančno predstavila ljudsko, klasično in sodobno pravljico. Predstavila sem tudi bralni razvoj, pomen branja ter vpliv kvalitetnih pravljic na otroke. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti življenje in delo Anje Štefan. Osredotočila sem se na prozo in pripovedovanje, slednje je v zadnjih letih zelo zaživelo predvsem po zaslugi pripovedovalskega festivala, ki ga vodi od leta 1997, zadnja leta kot del tričlanske zasedbe. Napisala sem pregled njenih literarnih del ter predstavila njene literarne dosežke in nagrade. Analizirala sem izbrana prozna dela, ki so izšla po letu 2002, eno pravljico smo obravnavali pri učni uri slovenščine v četrtem razredu in v času podaljšanega bivanja v drugem razredu. Predstavila sem avtorico in njena dela, zanimala pa me je tudi razlika v sprejemanju in odzivih na besedilo.
