Secondary title: Design of steel cylindrical tank
Secondary abstract: In this work is presented analysis and design of thin-walled steel tank with circular cross-section for storage diesel. Considered are loads on tank and a model of the tank for analysis by finite element method using RFEM 4.05. Load combinations, which are needed for design, are also given. Presented is practical calculation example. Tank in this work is designed using combination of requirements of EN Eurocode codes and American API standard 650. Presented are limit states controls, which are plastic limit, cyclic plasticity, buckling and fatigue. There is also presented control of movements and control of ring stiffeners. Limit states controls are verified in accordance with EN 1993-4-2:2007. Presented are requirements for the earthquake-resistant design for tanks given in EN 1998-4:2006 and API standard 650. Determination of seismic loads and control of reservoir on the seismic resistance effects is for tank in this work calculated in accordance with API standard 650.

Abstract (ePrints): V diplomski nalogi je prikazana analiza in projektiranje tankostenskega jeklenega rezervoarja s krožnim prečnim prerezom, namenjenega hrambi dizelskega goriva.
