Secondary abstract: The usefulness of the modern electronic total stations in geodetic terrestrial surveying is increasing with the development of new technology. Built-in modern technology significantly simplifies the work of an operator. In some cases, the implementation of the geodetic terrestrial surveying is also possible only with the presence of the operator, as the activity of the total station in completely automated. This diploma paper describes the development of the geodetic terrestrial instruments from theodolites to modern electronic total stations. The selected modern electronic total stations of three manufactures (Leica, Trimble and Topcon) are also presented in details.

Abstract (ePrints): Uporabnost sodobnih elektronskih tahimetrov pri geodetski terestični izmeri se povečuje z razvojem nove tehnologije. Vgrajena sodobna tehnologija bistveno poenostavi delo operaterja za instrumentom, v nekaterih primerih pa je izvedba geodetske terestične izmere mogoča tudi samo z njegovo prisotnostjo, saj je delovanje tahimetra popolnoma avtomatizirano. V diplomski nalogi je opisan razvoj geodetskih terestičnih instrumentov od teodolita do sodobnih elektronskih tahimetrov. Podrobneje so opisani izbrani sodobni elektronski tahimetri treh različnih proizvajalcev (Leica, Trimble in Topcon).
