Designing time changable three dimensional cartographic representation of KO Šentjernej |
Secondary abstract: |
Maps provide users with spatial information about the physical world. Modern cartographic
models include digital data describing the real world objects and phenomena in all three
dimensions. With advanced software equipment it is easier and faster to create a high quality
3D cartographic representation that can be displayed on a computer screen or printed on a
paper. The cartographic presentations got an added value by the inclusion of sound or images
(multimedia); the interaction between the user and the content of map or its display
(interactivity); the ability to represent changes over time (dynamic maps) or travel through
space (animation).
In the course of my thesis I designed a time changeable three-dimensional cartographic
representation of the cadastral municipality of Šentjernej in the recent 230 years. Moreover, I
have designed a symbolic and photorealistic three-dimensional map where I tried to show
different content items of 3D maps in order to test the principles for designing 3D
cartographic presentations. |

Karte nudijo uporabnikom prostorske podatke o stvarnem svetu. Sodobni kartografski modeli
vsebujejo digitalne podatke, ki opisujejo objekte in pojave realnega sveta v vseh treh
razsežnostih. Napredna programska oprema omogoča hitre ter kakovostne upodobitve
trirazsežnostnih kartografskih prikazov, ki jih lahko prikažemo na računalniškem zaslonu ali
izrišemo na papirju. Kartografskim prikazom pa je dodatno vrednost prinesla vključitev zvoka
ali slik (večpredstavnost), možnost uporabnikovega poseganja v vsebino ali prikaz karte
(interaktivnost), možnost prikaza spreminjanja stanja skozi čas (dinamične karte) ali
potovanja skozi prostor (animacije).
V okviru svoje diplomske naloge sem izdelal časovno spremenljiv kartografski prikaz
katastrske občine Šentjernej v zadnjih 230 letih. Oblikoval sem še znakovni in fotorealistični
trirazsežnostni kartografski prikaz, kjer sem skušal prikazati različne elemente vsebine 3D
kart z namenom, da bi lahko preizkusil načela oblikovanja 3D kartografskih prikazov. |
