Secondary title: Dimensioning of stormwater holding tanks to protect sensitive streams
Secondary abstract: The presented theme deals with the dimensioning of stormwater tanks. Work consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains a general description of sewerage systems, the presentation of a computer program SWMM ( Storm Water Management Model ), which provides quantitative and qualitative simulation of rainwater runoff. Theoretical part also presents standard ATV-A 128 in which are given guidelines for the dimensioning of the storage volume. The practical part of the thesis presents, the sewerage system Velenje - Šoštanj, a description of the establishment of a hydraulic model and how to dimension the storage volume. Specifically it is presented for a stromwater tank at central treatment plant. In practical presentation it is determinant storage volume, and all necessary pumps and stormwater overflow. In conclusion are given the findings and proposed measures to improve the functioning of the sewerage system Velenje - Šoštanj.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomska naloga obravnava dimenzioniranje zadrževalnih bazenov deževnih voda. Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. Teoretični del zajema splošni opis kanalizacijskih sistemov, predstavitev računalniškega programa SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), ki omogoča simuliranje kvantitativnega in kvalitativnega odtoka padavinskih voda. Prav tako pa je v teoretičnem delu predstavljen standard ATV-A 128, v katerem so podane smernice za dimenzioniranje zadrževalnih bazenov. Praktični del diplomske naloge zajema predstavitev kanalizacijskega sistema Velenje – Šoštanj, opis vzpostavitve hidravličnega modela in potek določitve okvirnih zadrževalnih volumnov. Podrobneje je dimenzioniran zadrževalni bazen pred centralno čistilno napravo. Določene so dimenzije potrebnega zadrževalnega volumna, vse potrebne črpalke, prelivni rob in razbremenilni objekt. V zaključku so podane ugotovitve in predlagani ukrepi za izboljšanje delovanja kanalizacijskega sistema Velenje – Šoštaj.
