Secondary abstract: The behavior of road users and their compliance with traffic regulation is low. Traffic signals are no longer sufficient reason for drivers to adhere to the speed limit. At the same time, the increasing traffic constantly increases the burden on Slovenian roads. Devices and traffic calming measures are important in ensuring the safety of road users. Technical specifications are used to determine the rules and dimensions for the design and implementation of traffic calming devices. These are an official document, which must be adhered. Yet many road users believe that the practical installations were carried out incorrectly. In this thesis we accurately measured and analyzed humps, platforms and median islands. It was determined that that many installed devices were not carried in accordance to regulations. We therefore propose the removal of improperly constructed humps, reflect on imposing prefabricated sinusoidal humps and changes to the median islands. Nevertheless, the entire area of traffic calming must be regulated in accordance with relevant technical regulations with the participation of residents and experts.

Abstract (ePrints): Obnašanje udeležencev v prometu ter spoštovanje prometnih predpisov je na nizkem nivoju. Samo opozarjanje s prometno signalizacijo ni zadosti velik razlog, da bi se vozniki držali predpisanih hitrosti. Obenem pa so s povečanjem prometa slovenske ceste vedno bolj obremenjene. Naprave in ukrepi za umirjanje prometa predstavljajo pomemben del pri zagotavljanju varnosti udeležencev v prometu. Za določanje pravil ter dimenzij za projektiranje ter izvedbo naprav za umirjanje prometa uporabljamo tehnične specifikacije. Te so uradni dokument katerega uporaba je obvezna. Marsikateremu uporabniku javnih cest pa se zdi, da so naprave v praksi izvedene narobe. Zato smo v tej diplomski nalogi natančno izmerili ter analizirali že izvedene grbine, ploščadi ter prometne otoke. Ugotovili smo, da mnoge naprave niso izvedene v skladu z veljavnimi predpisi. Zato smo predlagali odstranitev neustrezno izvedenih grbin, premislek o uvedbi montažnih sinusoidnih grbin ter spremembe pri prometnih otokih. Kljub temu pa bi morali celotno področje umirjanja prometa urediti v skladu z veljavnimi predpisi s sodelovanjem sposobnih ljudi ter strokovnjakov s tega področja.
