Design of an eight-storey reinforced concrete frame for ductility class medium |

An eight storey reinforced concrete frame is designed. Seismic action is defined according to standard SIST EN 1998-1 utilizing ductility class medium. The reinforcement is first designed according to requirements of standard SIST EN 1992-1-1 and then with consideration of additional demands of standard SIST EN 1998-1, since the objective of this research is to evaluate to which extend the amount of reinforcement increases due to design requirements and capacity design rules prescribed in standard SIST EN 1998-1.
The first part of the thesis represents the theoretical basis for the determination of seismic action, analysis methods and design principles under the restrictions of SIST EN 1998-1. Furthermore, the process of determining seismic action, seismic analysis of structure, which was performed by using the program ETABS 9.0, and design of reinforcment according to capacity design method is presented. Finally, the amount of reinforcement, determined according to SIST EN 1992-1-1 and SIST EN 1998-1 is compared. Results indicated that the amount of reinforcement designed according to SIST EN 1998-1 was increased for 17,3 % if compared to the amount of reinforcement which was determined according to SIST EN 1992-1-1. |

V diplomski nalogi je obravnavana osem etažna armiranobetonska okvirna konstrukcija. Obremenitev elementov konstrukcije zaradi potresne obtežbe je določena v skladu s standardom SIST EN 1998-1. Količina armature je najprej določena v skladu SIST EN 1992-1-1, nato pa so upoštevana tudi določila standarda SIST EN 1998-1, saj je cilj diplomske naloge ovrednotiti, za koliko se poveča količina armature zaradi konstrukcijskih zahtev ter določil za dimenzioniranje po metodi načrtovanja nosilnosti, ki jih predpisuje standard SIST EN 1998-1. Pri projektiranju je za okvir izbrana srednja stopnja duktilnosti.
V prvem delu naloge so predstavljene teoretične osnove za določevanje potresne obtežbe, metode analize ter principi dimenzioniranja konstrukcij po določilih EN 1998-1. Nadalje je prikazan postopek določitve potresne obtežbe, računska analiza konstrukcije, ki je bila opravljena s programom ETABS 9.0 in dimenzioniranje elementov po metodi načrtovanja nosilnosti. Na koncu sta prikazani dve primerjavi, in sicer primerjava med armaturo izračunano s programom in dejansko količino izbrane armature po zahtevah standarda SIST EN 1992-1-1 ter primerjava med količino armature določene na podlagi zahtev SIST EN 1992-1-1 in SIST EN 1998-1. Rezultati kažejo, da se ob upoštevanju protipotresnega projektiranja, armatura v primerjavi z izbrano količino armature dimenzionirane po zahtevah SIST EN 1992-1-1 poveča za 17,3 %. |
