Design of residential masonry building according to EUROCODES |

The diploma thesis is related to the static calculation of masonry building that takes into
account seismic effects. The three-story building under consideration has been already built in
Jesenice. In the first part of the work, the main characteristics of the building are presented.
Then, we summarize basic demands of Eurocodes 6 and 8 related to earthquake resistent
design of masonry buildings. Each of those demands is checked out for the building under
consideration. The actions on the building are defined in accordance with Eurocode 1. Internal
forces are computed by using the finite element method computer code Tower. The results of
the analysis are checked out with the demands of Eurocode 6. It is found out that not all the
structural elements (walls) are in compliance with the code demans. However, the demands
are fulfilled for the structure as a whole. |

Diplomsko delo obravnava statični izračun zidane stavbe na potresnem območju. Objekt je
zasnovan kot troetažna zidana stavba s povezanim zidovjem. Je že zgrajen in stoji na
Jesenicah. V diplomskem delu so najprej predstavljene glavne značilnosti obravnavanega
objekta (dimenzije, etažnost, tlorisna zasnova). Nato so povzete splošne zahteve Evrokodov 6
in 8, ki se nanašajo na projektiranje zidanih stavb na potresnih območjih. Ob posamezni
splošni zahtevi je opisano, kako je ta upoštevana pri obravnavanem objektu. V nadaljevanju
so določeni vplivi na objekt, kakor tudi ustrezne obtežne kombinacije v skladu z Evrokodom
1. Notranje sile so izračunane s pomočjo metode končnih elementov (z računalniškim
programom Tower). Narejen je bil računski model celotne stavbe. Rezultati računske analize
so primerjani z zahtevami Evrokoda 6 za zidane stavbe s povezanim zidovjem. Pokazano je,
da vsi konstrukcijski elementi (stene) ne izpolnjujejo vseh pogojev, ki jih predpisuje Evrokod
6. Če pa gledamo konstrukcijo v celoti (vse stene skupaj) so predpisani pogoji izpolnjeni. |
