Secondary title: Capacity analysis of actions to increase safwety of bicycle traffic
Secondary abstract: The thesis speaks about modern editing methods of bicycle traffic in urban areas. It contains comparison of four foreign design manuals for planning and editing cyclist areas in cities. Those are Dutch, German, Canadian and design manual of the United States of America. The comparison is done upon different situations, which could appear in process of editing cyclist friendly infrastructure. Therefore the comparison is done upon situations like crossing of the side road, turning left and right, signalization, special level intersections, tunnels and bridges for cyclists, roundabouts and actions for reducing waiting times for cyclists. The foreign design manuals are also compared with Slovenian design manual. Technical solutions, which could be used in Slovenia are also given in thesis. The thesis also contains capacity analysis of reconstructed intersection Poljanska - Roška, which is designed with modern editing methods for cycle traffic. Three different cases are compared. We saw, how those kinds of actions make influence on delays of motorized traffic, capacity and degree of saturation of intersection, average queue length, maximum queue length, average number of stops and emission of CO and NOx. It is shown how cyclist loads could make influence on those parameters. Therefore the parameters are compared according to different cyclist loads. The actions for improvement of intersection are also given. There is lot of questioning, if the new editing methods are good and safe for cyclists. They are based on directness and maintain of speed during drive through intersections. Because of that, there is safety analysis made in the end of thesis.

Abstract (ePrints): Diplomska naloga govori o najnovejših načinih vodenja kolesarskega prometa v urbanih okoljih. Primerjane so tri variante križišča.
