Secondary title: Design of reinforced concrete shell elements
Secondary abstract: The aim of the diploma thesis is presentation of different approaches how to design shell structures or elements. As the use of shell structures in construction is negligibly small in comparison to other forms of construction, there are also relatively few different approaches how to design shell elements. Therefore in thesis nine different approaches, of which five of them are for designing shell elements on the combination of membrane and bending loads and four for designing the shell elements according to the shear loads perpendicular to the central plane of the element are presented. Besides the description of each of the approaches in the second part, in the third part of the thesis, comparison of the presented approaches with the applicable regulation Eurocode 2 can be found. For practical use computer program has been designed for automatic design of the general load of shell element. Examples of this program can be found in part five of the thesis, where a comparison with the commercial software used in daily engineering practice is presented.

Abstract (ePrints): Namen predstavljenega diplomskega dela je primerjava različnih pristopov k dimenzioniranju lupinastih konstrukcij oz. elementov.
