Secondary title: Foundation design for two towers within Planica Nordic Centre phase 1a.
Secondary abstract: This diploma thesis titled Foundation design for two towers within Planica Nordic Centrephase 1a presents the process of foundation design for radio-television and referee towers, which were planned within the project Planica Nordic Centre. At first, the calculation of foundations is presented theoretically. This part also contains formulas related to the calculation. They repeat several times, because different project stages (of the radio-television tower) and different shapes of foundations (of the referee tower) are being considered. Later the bearing capacity of foundations is verified, followed by the calculation of settlements that occur due to different loads. The calculation is based on pressuremeter test results. In the end, final results are presented and critically evaluated.
