Secondary abstract: A six-storey reinforced concrete frame building was designed in order to fulfil requirements of Eurocode 8. The building was designed for ductility class medium. Program SAP2000, which is provides design based on the capacity design approach, was used for the analysis and design of the selected buildings. However, based on hand calculations it was found that the software does not fully integrate the capacity design principles prescribed by Eurocode 8. For global ductility check, in terms of the strong column - weak beam concept, it is suggested to consider the effect of biaxial bending.

Abstract (ePrints): V okviru diplomske naloge smo projektirali šest-etažno armirano betonsko konstrukcijo na potresno obtežbo z upoštevanjem določil standarda Evrokod 8. Privzeli smo srednjo stopnjo duktilnosti. Za analizo in dimenzioniranje smo uporabili program SAP2000, ki naj bi že vključeval metodo načrtovanja nosilnosti, vendar smo s primerjavo s »peš« izračunom ugotovili, da program ni v celoti skladen s določili Evrokoda 8. Pri kontroli globalne duktilnosti v smislu zagotovitve koncepta močen steber – šibka greda, predlagamo upoštevanje dvoosnega upogiba.
