Secondary title: Analysis and design of flat slab
Secondary abstract: In the diploma thesis, an example of flat reinforced concrete slab under gravitational loadings is analyzed and designed. For the analysis we use both the equivalent frame method and the finite element method. The equivalent frame method is applied according to the guidelines of the standard EN 1992-1-1. The finite element method is applied by using the commercial finite element computer code Safe. Based on the computed internal forces, the design of the bending reinforcement is carried out in accordance with the standard SIST EN 1992-1-1. Comparison is done with respect to both applied analysis methods on computed internal forces and on the amount of necessary bending reinforcement. Finally, the issue of punching shear in flat slabs is addressed. The necessary shear reinforcement is designed according to the standard SIST EN 1992-1-1.
