Secondary abstract:	The thesis deals with the structural design of the simply supported composite road bridge with the total length of 27 metres, consisted of two lanes and two corridors for cyclists and pedestrians. The bridge is located in the city of Ljubljana (water channel called “Mali graben”) and designed for moderate-traffic-volume. Methods for defining loads and fundamental verifications are performed according to the Eurocode standards, where ultimate limit and serviceability limit states are verified for this particular project. The major part of the thesis presents the global elastic analysis, with focus on steel structural elements.
