Secondary title: Implementation of an interactive e-learning portal for earthquake engineering
Secondary abstract: The thesis describes the workflow and basic description for the implementation of a portal EASY (Earthquake Engineering Slide Information System) 2. EASY 2 serves as an interactive e- learning tool for earthquake engineering. Its goal is to implement e- learning tool, which includes theory, practical examples and empirical information from the photographs. It is designed as a portal that includes explanations, case studies, solutions, a theoretical background and links to the standards for a variety of structural assemblies under earthquake loads, images, videos, 3D models, animations, map of earthquakes, English- Slovenian dictionary, Slovenian English Dictionary, terminology glossary. Primary user is a student of civil engineering, structural direction. The content is divided into four sections: an overview of the existing sites, design of portal, portal implementation, and ultimately testing portal. In the first phase I examined existing websites with earthquake engineering topics. Followed by a second phase where I combine gained knowledge. In the third phase, I start with implementation and adding content to the portal. The fourth phase combines testing the site, SWOT analysis and quick instructions for content adding. Because of the large volume and complexity of the content related to the earthquake engineering, I provided a detailed description an important topic that relates to the study only short column effect. Implementation of portal which is based on the interactivity is complete.
