Secondary abstract: | Graduation thesis presents basic characteristics of Ljubljana Moors and river Ljubljanica that flows slowly through its surface. Through history there were used different regulations on Ljubljana Moors and river Ljubljanica. With these regulations people wanted to drain Ljubljana Moor and protect their property from annual flooding. In our research we described the characteristics of floods, but on the other hand we also presented the measures that could improve the flood hazard. In the first place we described the three of Ljubljana Moors biggest floods, but then we focused only on the flood in September 2010. Our study was conducted on various computer programs which helped us with various calculations for the model of Ljubljana Moors and river Ljubljanica. With the program HECRAS we performed the calibration using unsteady flow. At the end of our research we presented the results of the calibration and the results of experiment that could improve the model by increasing hydrological data. Moreover, we also formed the model which was calculated for high water with 10-year, 100-year and 500-year return period. |
