Secondary abstract: The subject of the diploma paper is the wastewater drainage and treatment outline scheme for the Ponikva karst area. This area has been denoted as a nature park, which is why the measures considering the wastewater have to be taken even sooner. The legal arrangements from the wastewater drainage and treatment field, the public sewage system planning as well as the realization and dimensioning are all presented in the introduction part. The paper also contains the presentation of the natural characteristics together with the description of individual hamlets. The essence is captured in the presentation of the various solutions of the dimensioned sewage systems of a single hamlet or more hamlets joint through a single system. The last part contains the comparison of costs of construction, operation and maintenance between diferent variants.

Abstract (ePrints): Predmet diplomske naloge so idejne rešitve odvajanja in čiščenja odpadnih voda na območju Ponikovskega krasa v občini Žalec. To območje je zaznamovano kot krajinski park, kar narekuje še hitrejše ukrepanje glede problematike odpadne vode. V uvodnem delu so predstavljene zakonske ureditve s področja odvajanja in čiščenja odpadne vode, načrtovanje in izvedba javnega kanalizacijskega sistema ter postopki dimenzioniranja kanalizacijskega sistema. Sledi predstavitev naravnih značilnosti skupaj z opisom posameznih naselij. Bistvo naloge je zajeto v variantnih rešitvah dimenzioniranih kanalizacijskih sistemov posameznega naselja ali več naselij združenih v en kanalizacijski sistem. V zadnjem delu je obravnavana še primerjava stroškov izgradnje ter stroškov obratovanja in vzdrževanja posameznih variant.
