Secondary title: Development of the hydrometric system on the Ljubljanica river in real time
Secondary abstract: Water management requires constant supervision. Real-time data is crucial for the optimal preventive action as well as for the proper curative treatment. In the framework of the project Ljubljanica povezuje, three automatic gauging stations are planned to be set up along the river basin i.e., Lipe, Kamin and the Ižanska station. They will be sited on the Ljubljanica and Ižica rivers. The aim of the thesis is to develope a system which would transfer the hydrological data (flow, speed, temperature) from the stations and display them on the internet. To collect the hydrological data in the field, I used the ultrasonic meter Starflow and then described the radio communication of the meter Starflow with the computer. We have developed a softwear tool (software) which is remotely linked (via radio communication) to the Starflow meter and collects the hydrological data. Data is then processed and exported into Microsoft Access database. The described procedure is completely automated. The second part of the thesis describes the task of designing a web page where real-time data (collected from gauging stations) is displayed.

Abstract (ePrints): Za uspešno upravljanje z vodami je potreben stalen nadzor.
